This work charts the waning years of the Roman Empire from 98-1590 AD, examining the impact of its decline on western civilization. GOOD to VERY GOOD condition. Many spine labels missing or loose. Spines faded. Uneven fading and darkening to the leather. Leather scuffed, chipped and somewhat worn along the hinges, spines and extremities. A few volumes with dampstaining along the spines, not affecting the interior. A few with a few small gouges in the leather. Interiors clean and solid.
