Early editions of The History of England From the Accession of James the Second by Thomas Babington Macaulay. Rebound in uniform Sotheran signed half calf bindings. Complete in five volumes of varying editions. Volume I (1854) is the tenth edition. Volume II (1849) is the third edition. Volume III (1855), Volume IV (1855), and Volume V (1855) are later early editions. Thomas Babington Macaulay was a British historian and Whig politician.  Rebound in half calf bindings and cloth boards. Externally, very smart. There is some minor bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. There is some light spotting to the fore edges. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some occasional light spotting. Very Good
