A chronicle of the seventeen-year period from 1685 to 1702, encompassing the reign of James II, the Glorious Revolution, the coregency of William III and Mary II, and up to William III's death. These volumes contain information from 1685 to 1689 and the accession of William II and Mary II as England's first joint sovereigns. Written by Thomas Babington Macaulay, a British historian and Whig politician. Bound in full brown calf. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd small spot. Light age toning to the endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpapers and title page. Very Good
