About This Item

New York: Lovell. Very Good-. N.D.. Hardcover. A bit of rubbing, but generally a nice copy in elaborate half leather bindings. The spines have gilt decorated compartments with leather title and author lables. "A new edition with the author's last corrections and improvements. With an account of his life written by himself. " No date, but probably about 1900. This copy is in half leather with red and black leather spine labels, gilt decorated spine compartments with raised bands, leather corner tips. Both the cover boards are marbled as are the end papers. The set contains 6 volumes; each volume measures 5" x 7.25" No indication of the date of publication or the total number of volumes in the set, but volume 6 ends with James II in 1688 and also includes an index, so I am assuming it is complete as issued.; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall .
