London: T. Cadell, 1793. This is a Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine copy of the First Edition Thus : "A New Edition, with the Author's Last Corrections and Improvements. To Which is Prefixed, A Short Account of His Life, Written by Himself." This is Volume Six only, of the full set of thirteen, and deals with Henry VIII. Full leather binding; spine is ruled and titled in gilt, with labels in black. Clean text; 359 pages. Contemporary signature on the Title Page. The text is exceptionally bright and supple. Bumped corners; rubbed at the margins; the spine is cracked at the rear panel, but is holding nicely. A nice little copy of this seminal work.. First Thus. Full-Leather. Near Fine/No Jacket. 32mo - over 4" - 5" tall.
