In two volumes.The first editions, first impressions, of these works.Volumes II and IV of a total of four volumes.Volume II in the original unclipped dustwrapper, Volume IV in the original price-clipped dustwrapper.'A History of the English-Speaking Peoples' is Churchill's history detailing the life of Britain and its former colonies throughout the world.Churchill covers from Caesar's invasions of Britain, up to the end of the Second Boer War.Illustrated with the occasional full-paged map throughout the volumes.Written by Winston Churchill. Though this work was well received, his best known historical work is 'The Second World War'. In the original publisher's cloth binding, Volume II in the original unclipped dustwrapper, Volume IV in the original price-clipped dustwrapper. Externally, generally smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spines. Volume IV with discolouration to the boards. A few minor marks to the boards of Volume II. Light spots to the fore edges. Dustwrappers with minor edgewear, heavier to Volume II. Dustwrapper for Volume II with repairs to the reverse, and spots to the wraps. Price label to the front flyleaf of Volume IV. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
