Collated, complete.Volume II, 'The New World', illustrated with twenty-four plates and in-text illustrations. Collated, complete.Volume III, 'The Age of Revolution', illustrated with twenty-four plates and in-text illustrations. Collated, complete.Volume IV, 'The Great Democracies', illustrated with thirty-two plates and in-text illustrations. Collated, complete.Written by Winston Churchill. Though this work was well received, his best known historical work is 'The Second World War'.The Chartwell edition. In the original publisher's cloth binding, Volumes II, III, and IV in the original wax paper wraps. Externally, smart. Light marks to the boards and spines. Glassine wraps are edgeworn, heavier to Volume III, with a chip to the head of spine, and smaller chips to the spines of Volumes III and IV. A little discolouration and some light marks to the wraps. Tear across the front wrap of Volume III. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Fine
