This book is the outgrowth of the town's celebration of its sesquicentennial in 1936, and first published in 1943 covering through 1936. The First Selectman was dismayed to discover the great dearth of accurate comprehensive historical records, and he was convinced that the history of the town should be brought up to date. 506pp.
