Jenkins on front of each volume); beveled edges; gilt dentelles; all edges gilt; all 120 chromolithograph plates and pages are present. Volume 1 with copyright date 1848; volume 2 is 1849; volume 3 is 1850. Very good condition: light wear to binding, mostly loss of color to some spine tips; straight and tight, although the paper over a couple of inner hinges is cracked but they are holding very well; slight sparse spotting to pages and plates, most are superb condition; one plate (Shau-hau-napo-tinia, an Ioway Chief, in Volume III) has a strip of toning and minor chipping to fore edge.
