Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Corner House. First published in 1726, this is a second printing of the 1979 edition. Samuel Penhallow was Chief Justice of the Superior Court of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, his account was published just three years after the peace treaty of 1723. 184 pages with Index and Notes, 5-7/8" X 8-3/4". The dust jacket is price clipped at the front flap. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Sturdy dark blue cloth covered boards. Cover boards have minor edge wear at the heel of the spine and to the tips of the bottom corners. Edges of the text block show some dots of foxing from age. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Sewn binding is tight and square. Not a remainder, not a library discard. Attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
