In 1637 John Mason led a force which successfully defended the fledgling colony of Connecticut against the Pequot tribe. This pamphlet details the setting up of a statue in his honor in Pequot Hill, Conn., including the service of dedication and the historical oration delivered thereat detailing Mason's exploits. The frontispiece is a photograph of the statue. Good. Stapled; in printed wrappers. Rear wrapper detached. Ex–historical society copy (rubber-stamp on title-page).
