Comments: A collection of essays on the life of an agricultural labourer of the late 19th century; 'Hodge' being a contemporary nick-name for these workers. Originally published as two volumes it describes the conditions put upon the workers by farmers, the squire, the clergy and workhouse guardians.. Soft Cover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
