"Barry Callaghan originally created 'The Hogg Poems and Drawings' during the 1970s and published them in 1978. (I)n 1988, Callaghan published 'Stone Blind Love', which was soon recognized by him and others, as pure Hogg, in spite of its ostensible topic - a dying mother. Now Callaghan has combined the two, edited them, revised them. The result is the present volume, which gives us the entire text and a good section of the drawings; in other words, the entire vision of Hogg, this momentous lyrical and epical triumph." from the introduction.
