This incredible Depression-era story concerns the Jordan family's hope for survival by moving to the gorge of Idaho's Snake River known as Hell's Canyon to raise sheep starting in 1932. This modern-day pioneer story of a large family's hardship, adventure, and survival is inspirational. The author has signed the Title Page of this Third Printing, "Sincerely, Grace Jordan." The book is bound in black cloth with die-stamped gilt spine titles. The binding is tight and secure, and the pages are clean and bright throughout. The book includes end-paper maps and a frontis photograph of Snake River. The book measures 8 1/4 by 5 3/4 inches and includes 243 pages.. Signed by Author. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good+. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
