This is the English language translation of the original 1938 French edition, first published here in 1940, corrected and reprinted in 1943. A marvel then, and now. This is a very good copy, without dust jacket (as issued?), cloth modestly faded, with an owner ink inscription on front pastedown, but overall square, tight and clean.
