London: Hamish Hamilton, 1978. Softcover. Near Fine. Uncorrected proof. Small octavo. Printed gray wrappers. Publication date and price in publisher's ink holograph on front cover. Spine and covers lightly tanned, else near fine with text fresh and clean. Maureen Duffy, novelist, poet, playwright, activist and teacher, was born in 1933, in Worthington, Sussex. She was co-founder of The Writers' Action Group in 1972. Lesbian characters and themes are featured in much of her work (Grier. *The Lesbian and Literature,* p.39]. "Sexual identity and the politics of gender are intrinsic to her work" [Blain et al. *Feminist Companion to Literature in English*, p.313]. The proof is scarce.
