Hardback, rebound in half-leather by Hatchette of London, in blue leather with five raised bands and gilt titling to the spine and marbled boards. Top edge gilt. 18.5 × 11.5cm, 762pp. French text. A collection of French poetry from Marie de France (12th century) through to Charles Peguy and the twentieth century via Victor Hugo, Mallarme, Jean de la Fontaine etc. Condition: This copy is in very good condition, there is a very little scuffing to the spine but the leather is in otherwise very good condition. Internally, the pages are clean and the binding is secure. Neat previous owner's name to ffep.
