Illustrated with numerous historic black & white photographs by Samuel W. Block, Jr., as well as with maps & drawings. Includes biographical notes on over forty architects, including Dwight Perkins, George Maher, Henry Ives Cobb, Frank Lloyd Wright, etc. An appendix, organized by street, gives the construction date, architect, owner and owner's occupation for more than nine hundred dwellings.
