Original leather binding is worn and rubbed; contents dampstained to margins at beginning, foxing, some signatures a bit loose. Last two pages of second supplement eaten with loss of text to bottom two lines. Contains two supplements: Hymns for Sunday Schools (48 pp, ) & Articles of Religion (42 pp. ) Lacks rear end paper. Pencil names on end papers. An early imprint of the Western Methodist Book Concern, this company operated from 1848-1852. This hymnal copyrighted 1849 in NY.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 744, 48, 42 pages .
