About the author

Stefanie Posavec is a designer and artist who uses data as a creative material. Her work has been exhibited internationally at major galleries including the Centre Pompidou, the V&A, the London Design Museum, and Somerset House, and is also held in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York. She is the co-author (with Giorgia Lupi) of Dear Data and the visual journal Observe, Collect, Draw!Miriam Quick is a data journalist and researcher who explores novel ways of communicating information. Bylines include the BBC, The New York Times, Wired UK, and Information is Beautiful. She co-creates data artworks, exhibited at the Wellcome Collection, Southbank Centre, Royal College of Physicians, and internationally. Oddityviz, her award-winning project with Valentina D'Efilippo, visualizes David Bowie's song 'Space Oddity' on 12-inch records.
