This book is an excellent introduction to the Thanksgiving Holiday season. Geared for the preschool and kindergarten set, this Little Old Lady swallows one Thanksgiving food item after another until she has eaten the entire Thanksgiving menu. Filled with laughter while teaching youngsters about the American traditional Thanksgiving meal as each food item may be discussed either by its seasonal placement, nutritional value, historical tradition or food group. This book may be used in conjunction with the flannel board or pocketchart. You can also derive several crafting ideas from its contents. This book is a must for every pre-k & kindergarten classroom.
