New York: E. P. Dutton and Company, 1911. First US edition Near Fine condition. EX-LIBRARY with "No Longer the Property of..." ink stamp. Rebound in sturdy blue buckram, lettered in bright white. Pages are clean and unmarked. NO foxing. NO year of publication is stated in the book. Preface is dated 1911. The first UK edition was published the same year in London by J. Murray. The Library of Congress catalogue lists this 1911 first US edition and the first UK edition, but doesn't show any reprints until 2021 [New Delhi : Gyan], although we did find a listing online for a 1920 John Murray reprint. Illustrated with a tissue-guarded frontispiece and 32 plates. Footnotes.
