Montreal: John Mcconniff, 1899. 111 pp, oblong (6" H x 9" D) - red patterned cloth spine with decorated paper-covered bevelled boards, all edges red. Floral-patterned endpapers, profusely illustrated in b&w with photographs (by William Notman, et al) and drawings showing the public, commercial, religious, and private buildings of late 19th century Montreal, along with the surrounding scenery, sports, methods of transporation, etc. A souvenir book giving an historical overview of the city and with additional information including "Muscular Montreal: Sports and Pastimes - Winter and Summer"; "Sights and Legends"; "Old Buildings"; "On and Off the Island of Montreal"; "From Montreal to Quebec" (journeying down the St. Lawrence). Moderate browning to endpapers, several light separations between page gathering - still holding well, some light tearing to paper on inside front hinge - repaired, 'With compliments from....' stamp at top corner of page 3 - does not effect text, slight curvature to book, moderate edge wear to boards, light rubbing and a few small scuffs on boards, small water stain on front board (red cloth)..
