London: The Prince of Wales Hospital Fund for London, 1897. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Oblong Format 8" X 6. This is an extensively illustrated souvenir of the procession held in celebration of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Created by staff at the Graphic and Daily Graphic the majority of illustrations consist of groups of soldiers from around the Empire. Created to raise funds for the Prince of Wales Hospital Fund for London the book also contains a page in which supporters were encouraged to stick in special commemorative stamps in aid of the charity. This copy has two stamps tipped in -one for 1/- and another for 2/6d. Generally very good, a little loose within the binding and with the occasional light fingering to plates. Bound in blue cloth which is faded to spine and top board with the date printed in gilt to top board, A.E.G.

Description:
London: Publishing Office, 1897 The "Illustrated Programme of the Royal Jubilee Procession" is bound with a " Hymn written by the Bishop of Wakefield and set to music by Arthur Sullivan" pp 3 ; and " A Form of Prayer with Thanksgiving to Almighty God to be used in all churches and chapels in England and Wales etc " pp ; both printed by Eyre and Spottiswoode, 1897. in a plain cover (buckram boards, cloth spine and corners, patterned endpapers) . Stapled to the rep is " Special Forms of Service in commemoration of his late Majesty King Edward VII" printed in 1910 by Eyre and Spottiswoode, pp 8 , The four documents are in good condition with a little browning, and a few creases, but the binding is strained and the boards have heavy water staining although this has not impacted on the content.
