Folio with 122 of the original 125 engravings,26 double page fold out .A few dampstains not affecting the engraved surface, some plates are foxed others are free of foxing.The last plate has been rpaired and loosely inserted. There is a small previous owners stamp on the title page.This copy appears to have 122 plates of the 125 called for although the numbers are consecutively paginated 1- 118 with an additional 4 plates. Binding is quarter calf with raised bands and title label ,cloth boards, See illustrations. This atlas is notable for its rare illustrations of the first Steam Driven Paddle Steamers.This is a large and heavy book and may require extra postage.
