The book was signed and dated Aug. 23rd 1946 by the author, It is in navy cloth gold stamping on the front cover and spine. There is no significant wear and the book is clean and tight. The dj is very slightly rubbedup to 3/16" at the head of the spine and 1/8" at the tail of the spine. The top edge is beginning to soften on the rear panel but is not chipped. There is a 3/16" tear on the rear panel and the same on the front panel..
