SIGNED BY AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR. Volume Four from the series. The 12 Etchings are from sketches made by the author & etched upon copper plates each with a protective tissue. The etchings depict Hertfordshire scenery. The inks are specially prepared from dry colour - heavy & light French black, with added cinder. The type used for the text is Perpetua Bold, 30 pt., 18 pt. and Plantin Italic, 8pt, - gold blocks from brass. Printed entirely by hand throughout, from the Graddio Press, St. Albans - Hertfordshire - England. Corridan (Corrie) Graddon, born in 1932, apprenticed in London in 1947 as a relief engraver and die sinker. He joined the Sun in 1956, to work in monochrome and colour engraving. He worked at the Sun for 26 years, leaving in 1982. He became a successful print-maker, exhibiting in the Mall Galleries and in the Royal Academy summer exhibitions. He has printed and published books of his etchings on such subjects as St. Albans, Lemsford, Impressions, Cricket, and The Thames. Size: 12 inches tall by 10 inches. pp.[viii] + 12 etchings.
