Half dark texture cloth and black leather with gilt border-lines, sp .lettering and panel dividers, a touch of rubbing to extremities otherwise remarkably clean and unworn, not a modern re-bind as paste-downs contiguous with end-papers, the front one having an 1868-dated owner's inscription. All edges gilt. 336 pp., a number of small text engravings numbered by chapter; clean, tight and unmarked aside from aforementioned inscription but intermittent light tanning spots and edges inc. to t.p., but these fairly innocuous. Preface dated 1833, this was something of a popular early 19th century best-seller 11 cm x 18 cm
