The text layout sits on each page at 2.5x4.5" and about 11 pt. type size with good leading, the pages being 4.25x7.5". The paper is good quality, cream, thick. Illustrations are grayscale prints from paintings.

Pages and plates are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier to endpapers and pastedowns. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Occasional thumb-marking present. Slight cracking to front hinge with exposed binding. Binding is shaky. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Crushing to spine ends with splits and fraying to cloth. Mild tanning to spine and edges. Book is notably bowed and forward leaning. Minor water staining to rear board.
