Both manuscripts signed by Mr. Bruno Cavallero, numbered 10 and 11. Number 10 has a handwritten note on the first page indicating: "Un Pliego de papel que consiste Informe o sea Certificación dada por el Ingeniero Director Dn. Bruno Cavallero en que manifiesta que no es perjudicial a las fortificación el que el colegio continue su fabrica… fecha en La Havana a 30 de maio de 1732" (A sheet of paper consisting of a report or certification given by the Engineering Director Mr. Bruno Cavallero, stating that the continuation of the school's construction is not detrimental to the fortification... dated in Havana on May 30, 1732).

On December 19, 1721, a Royal Decree authorized the creation of the college, the construction began but there were several objections, one of them was the proximity to the Castillo de La Real Fuerza and the other fortifications that had been built as protection against frequent attacks and looting by foreign pirates and privateers. Therefore, it had to be ensured that no construction could affect the fortifications or hinder defense in case of necessity. This manuscript is the report given by Engineer Don Bruno Cavallero, which explains in detail the type of construction that the Jesuits will carry out.

Dn. Bruno Cavallero y Elvira was the chief engineer and infantry colonel. In Cuba, he played an important role in the construction of various works in the outer enclosure of the island's capital, and in the area of the Bay of Havana. In 1717 he drew up a plan of Havana and its surroundings, with the necessary works. He also carried out a general fortification project for the plaza.
