He explains how the experts 'antique' a piece of furniture and exactly what to use in order to do this; he explains further how they finish raw wood. His next section is 'Hints and Asides on The Treasures You Might Find in the Attic - or more likely in the local Oxfam shop'. He concludes the book with a most valuable section on inexpensive paint removers. He has illustrated the book throughout with amusing but constructive line drawings.
