Description

Santa Cruz, Ca: Radio Liberty Book. Very Good. Audio Book (CD). Audio Book Edition.. An interview recording (not a book) with Carroll Quigley, author of Tragedy and Hope, A History of the World In Our Time, conducted by Rudy Maxa, a Washington Post reporter, recorded in December 1974 a few years before Quigley's death. Aired by KFER Radio Liberty in December 1994 during Bill Clinton's first year in office. Quigley talks about the international conspiracy theories and secret societies he claims in his book are running the world financial organizations and the suppression of his book by the publisher MacMillan. Interestingly, he had a high disdain for Henry Kissinger, in the interview calling him a "Prima donna" and "mentally unbalanced." Quigley taught at the Georgetown School of Foreign Service and was a mentor to Bill Clinton. Clinton mentioned Quigley's influence in his 1988 nominating speech for Mike Dukakis and in his own inaugural. Quigley's principle of "future preference" became a theme of Clinton's presidency. MP3 format on 1 CD. The CD is over 70 minutes in length with much commentary by the announcer, Dr. Stanley Montieth..
