The movement was revived again in the nineteenth century.John Henry Parker (1806-1884) was an English archaeologist and author on many works relating to architecture. This is the tenth edition of this work.Bound with eight pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear.Illustrated throughout with vignette illustrations.From the library of David Ian Moor; with his bookplate to the front pastedown.A delightful little guide to gothic architecture by an authority on the subject. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally very smart; spine is a little faded, with some bumping to the head and tail. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown and inscription to the verso of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound, with just a touch of strain to the front hinge. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
