Illustrations by Will Harmuth, whose moody and dramatic offerings really do reflect the tenor of the novel. Octavo, 454 pp. As New; immaculate, flawless and pristine. See scans. Franklin's lavish leather binding of the Signed, Limited Edition of Ellison's multiple-award-winning 1952 novel. Harmuth's illustrations are original for this edition. Binding is rich red cowhide, decorated and imprinted in gilt; spine panels rib divided, All Edges Gilt, deep red moire endpapers, and a matching satin page-marker ribbon. The gilt is 22 karat, typeface is 11-point Janson, and the paper is 60-pound "1854" Cream. The Franklin Library, doing what they did best. As New; pristine and flawless, and protectively archived since arrival; page-marker has in fact never been moved.
