New York: Scribners, 1970. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/very good. Light dusting to text block edges with minimal rubbing to bottom edges. Green cloth and book lettering at spine is bright and unfaded. Dust jacket lightly faded at spine with minor wear to edge extremities; otherwise bright and very presentable. $10.00 price intact. With (A-9.70[V]) on the copyright page. A very handsome collectible copy of the first of the published posthumous works by Ernest Hemingway. This work was found by Mary Hemingway from among 332 different works Hemingway left behind after his death.

Synopsis

Islands in the Stream was published in 1970, nine years after Hemingway's death. Thomas Hudon is an painter and adventurer in the 1930s, and this tale documents his voyages from Bimini to antisubmarine action in Cuba and beyond.
