Description

London (12 & 13, Henrietta Street): Gay & hancock, 1913. Hardcover. Very Good. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. Folkard, Charles. 1st thus. With twelve full colour, tipped in illustrations, mounted on card with captioned guards. Other illustrations in text. Bound in purple cloth over bevelled boards with elaboration gilt and colour decoration and gilt lettering. Deckled edges. (Boards worn and rubbed at edges and heavily, patchily faded around spine, frayed at spine ends, small area of lifting at head of spine). Printed on high quality paper, back and red title page, thick satin ribbon, with gilt bird at base, bound in (some mild, occasional spotting, not affecting illustrations; silk ribbon marker has partial split where it has been folded in past). A collection of humorous verses, with stunning illustrations. Folio. A large & heavy volume which will attract an additional charge for overseas delivery.
