Annapolis, Maryland: U.S. Naval Institute Press, 1969. Quarto sized hardcover, beige cloth with Japanese Rising Sun flag inset on front board. Issued without dust-jacket. Illustrated with maps and photographs. First collected hardcover edition of articles originally published in the U.S. Naval Institute PROCEEDINGS. An anthology of articles by former officiers of the Imperial Japanses Navy and Air Defense Force. Ersatz dust-wrapper supplied by former owner with chart of comparable battleships of the four majpr combatants and large Japanese flag, all against a red backgound and housed in reinforced mylar covers. Light toned markes from verso of mylat on one corner of cloth and lower inside covers. No previous owner's name or book-plate. A clean, square, very good+ copy in an interesting and well executed ersatz dust-wrapper [with some showthrough of paste used to mount illustrations]. Scans sent on request. . First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
