New York: Harper & Brothers Publishers, 1901. First Edition. Fine. Genjiro Yeto. Illustrated by Genjiro Yeto. Published, October 1901. Bound in illustrated green gloth over boards stamped in pink and darker green with a black border and gilded lettering. Gilded frame and gilded lettering on spine. Solid and square with some light rubbing at corners and the head/tail of spine. Gilded top edge, deckled long and lower edge. The basis for the 1918 silent American movie. The interior is clean, clear and free from notes, markings, or inscriptions. Each page is illustrated with various depcitions of people, flora, fauna, and architecture and with three full-page color illsutration, incluidng frontispiece with tissue guard.
