Red cloth-covered boards. 8vo. Lightly rubbed corners and spine ends, slightly cocked. Text block edges just starting to tan. Bookseller's labels on both free endpapers, lender's rubber stamps on pastedowns. Otherwise internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket protected with (torn in places) Brodart-style sleeve, spine sun-faded, has light shelf wear, chipping to edges, mirrors book damage, not price clipped. Joel Chandler Harris (1848-1908) was an American journalist and folklorist best known for his collection of Uncle Remus stories.
