A first Printing of the First American Edition in Nearly Fine condition that has a starting spine hinge, housed in a Fine dust-jacket. The top page edge sports a red publisher's stain; Joseph is a story about a boy who is sold into slavery in Egypt. He becomes a slave to Potiphar, an officer in Pharaoh's palace. Potiphar is an arrogant man who thinks he is above the law. Joseph is able to use his skills as a carpenter to gain favor with Pharaoh and become his most trusted advisor. Joseph is eventually able to save his family and return home to Canaan.; 8vo; 506 pages .
