About This Item
Facsimile repront of the 1870 edition. In French. Soft cover, 22 cm, 112 pp.
Benjamin Brue, a dragoman of the French ambassador to Constantinople, cites the evolution of military and political events related to the abolition of the short-lived second period of the Venetian Rule in the Peloponnese (1687-1715). Brue, with more than thirty years of service in the diplomatic service of France, was deeply acquainted with the Ottomans and their empire. He spends the day of the campaign of Grand Vizier Ali Pasha "Dasmat" (May 22 - November 23, 1715) and quotes the analytical composition and expense of the expeditionary corps. Brue's calendar was published and by the French archaeologist and explorer Albert Dumont (1842-1884).
