Lee Meriwether, (1862-1966), was an attache and Special Assistant to the American Ambassador at Paris.This journal covers the years 1916, 1917, and 1918, when he was inspecting concentration camps and military prisons in Normandy and elsewhere. Also covers his missions in Italy and Spain, and Paris during the war.
