About This Item

London: Frederick Muller, 1947. 85 pp, 7 1/2" H. "(A) book original in its theme and refreshingly different in its conception. It falls into three parts: firstly, it discusses, freshly and unacademically, British and American prose-writers of the (early) twentieth century; it then makes a penetrating and courageous examination of the different aspects of Comradeship, Friendship, ad Love; and, in the final chapter, the author offers us his own personal and undeluded philosophy of life (particularly the value of idealism, integrity and kindness)." Very light browning on endpapers, three very small foxing marks on front free endpaper, some small air bubbles under the rear pastedown, tiny foxing marks on top of text block. Dust jacket has several small ships and tears archivally taped, light browning on spine, scattered tiny foxing marks, now protected in a mylar sleeve.. Second Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good -/Good-.
