Appears to have two identical facsimile title pages tipped in (consequently lacking the original title; the frontis is NOT in facsimile). The text has some moderate foxing throughout. An early owner's blind stamped name is on the first page of the text. There is a folding newspaper article pasted onto the rear pastedown. Scarce signed first edition of human rights activist Kennedy's visit to the deep South, exposing the "Problem of the South and the historical roots of all its evils..." Boldly signed on title page. Book is in essentially unread condition and appears to be the only signed copy listed online.

Brunswick County Bicentennial Committee, 1999. Near Fine in Near Fine DJ. Edges of boards show minor rubbing. Lower edge of DJ has two small tears and rear panel shows some rubbing. Interior is pristine. Overall a clean, solid copy showing very minimal signs of use. Photo is of the copy at Barbed Wire Books.

More than Mercer House: Savannah's Jim Williams & his Southern Houses written and signed by Dorothy Kingery, the hardcover book is like new except at the last page the sewn in bindings comes a little away from the book just for about 1/3 of the way up, no pages are loose and it's the very end of the book, the buckram black cover is beautiful; the dj has edge and cover wear to the front, but still looks good in the sense that you can still see the cover and back photographs very well.
