About the author

Amy Frykholm is a special correspondent for The Christian Century, where she writes on religion, culture, and spirituality. She started her career in academia, earning a PhD in literature from Duke University. Her first book, Rapture Culture, published by Oxford University Press, was a study of readers of the apocalyptic Left Behind series. She has received grants from the Louisville Institute, the Fulbright Scholar program, and the Woodrow Wilson Foundation for her work. She lives in Colorado.
