About This Item

Rugby, UK: George E Over, 1984. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. From a large paper, numbered edition limited to 40 copies, this being No. 7. Signed on the limitation page by the publisher, George E Over. [2] 108pp [2]. In plain paper-covered boards with black lettering front and spine. Fore-edge and lower text block edge deckled. Tissue-guarded frontispiece. 8vo. Boards are worn and a little soiled, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends; top text block edge a little dust darkened. Some moderate toning on free endpapers and the tissue-guard has browned, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Gale, better known perhaps for his poetry, wrote several novels, of which this is his first. This edition published by George E Over, a bookseller and publisher working in Rugby, UK, in the late 19th century and best known as the operator of the Rugby Press which produced a number of poetry and Belles Lettres.
