Junius was the pseudonym of a writer who contributed a series of letters to an English newspaper, the Public Advertiser, from 1769 to 1772. The objective of these letters was to inform the public of their historical and constitutional rights as English citizens and to point out how the government had infringed upon these rights. The writer's real identity is still debated.
