Description

London: George Routledge & Sons.. We have been unable to find any record of this binding: Heavy tan card stock (with scalloped edges) with cover and pages held together with a white ribbon. Centered at the top is a girl at an open window with a bird approaching her outstretched hand. A branch is along the left side of the window. The illustration is not a pastedown and seems to be handcolored. The branch is gold and the leaves green. The window behind the girl is black and to her right grey. The bird is an exquisite miniature in gold, blue, and red. The window frame is brown, and there is rose shading along the bottom and right hand side of the window frame. 24 pp. not counting the covers. 3" by 4". Back cover is blank. All pages but the half title on page 1 have color illustrations.Poetry by Spenser, Wastell, and Jonson. 11 illustrations signed "KG." Tiny chips on outer corners of front cover, Very Good.
