About This Item

New York: Harry N. Abrams, Inc., 1988 Harry N. Abrams, Inc., 1988. Fine. Greenaway, Kate. Harry N. Abrams, Inc., 1988. Fine. Greenaway, Kate. Greenaway (1846-1901) was an English illustrator and author of children's books; her first book, Under the Window from 1879, was a best seller. In 1881, she took the Mother Goose rhymes and created an appropriate illustration to match. This volume is a facsimile of her sketchbook along with a forward by Bernard McTigue and an introduction by Rodney Engen. Yellow cloth binding with gold lettering on front board and spine. Binding tight and square with no blemishes. Unclipped dust jacket carries no price (academic publisher); clean and bright with a few minor bumps but no tears. 95 pages.
