About This Item

New York: Farrar & Rinehart, Inc, 1943. First edition. Hardcover. Very good/very good. 339pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Red cloth over boards with black ink stamped titles on the spine and front cover. Ex-library, with a library stamp on the bottom edge of the text block. The spine ends and the corners of the covers are gently rubbed and bumped, and there are a number of tape stains on the endsheets. Else, the pages are clean, and the book is sturdy. The dust jacket, designed by E. Franklin Wittmack, is trimmed short, and there is a slash mark that runs through the center of the front panel, from top to bottom. The slash does cut through the top half. A book featuring Alexander Botts, roving sales manager of the Earthworm Tractor Company.
